Mobile App Development

Mobile experiences users love

Native iOS, Android, and cross-platform applications engineered for performance, engagement, and app store success.

We've shipped our own apps through the store gauntlet — yours benefits from the scar tissue.

Mobile development punishes teams that treat it like web development with smaller screens. App review can reject a month of work over a permissions string. A flaky network turns a beautiful app into a spinner. An OS update breaks your build the week of launch.

We build with those realities priced in: offline-first data architecture so the app works on the subway, EAS-based release pipelines so store submissions are repeatable instead of heroic, and platform-convention UX so iOS users get iOS patterns and Android users get theirs.

Our own portfolio includes Premier Concierge — an offline-first encyclopedia with 1,000 curated entries, bundled search, and freemium monetization — and Human Edge, an EQ assessment app with full offline persistence. Both taught us lessons that no client should have to pay to relearn.

Outcomes

Business impact you can measure

Works Offline

Apps that stay useful when the network doesn't — local-first data with background sync.

One Codebase, Two Stores

Ship iOS and Android simultaneously without doubling your engineering budget.

Monetization-Ready

Subscriptions, freemium gates, and ad infrastructure designed in from the start.

Our mobile engineering checklist

Every app we ship goes through the same production-readiness gauntlet we use for our own products:

  • Offline behavior tested with airplane mode as a first-class scenario, not an afterthought
  • Cold-start time and bundle size budgets enforced before launch
  • Crash reporting and analytics wired before the first TestFlight build
  • Store assets, privacy labels, and review notes prepared against current guidelines
  • Staged rollouts with rollback plans — never 100% on day one

Process

How we work

01

Research

Understand your users, competitors, and platform requirements.

02

Prototype

Design and validate UX flows before writing production code.

03

Develop

Build with native performance and cross-platform efficiency.

04

Launch

Deploy to app stores with analytics, monitoring, and iteration plans.

FAQ

Mobile App Development questions, answered

Native or cross-platform — which should we choose?

For most business apps, React Native with Expo gets you both platforms from one codebase at roughly 60% of the cost, and users can't tell the difference. We recommend going native (Swift/Kotlin) when you need heavy real-time graphics, deep hardware integration, or platform-specific experiences. We'll tell you which your app actually needs — including when the cheaper option is the right one.

Why do you build offline-first?

Because mobile networks fail constantly, and apps that show spinners instead of content get deleted. Our apps persist data locally (SQLite/AsyncStorage) and sync when connectivity returns — both of our shipped mobile products work fully offline, which matters doubly for field teams and international users.

Do you handle App Store and Play Store submission?

Yes — provisioning, store listings, screenshots, review-guideline compliance, and staged rollouts via EAS Build. We've been through review rejections before and design around the common traps (permissions, payments, content policies) from the start.

What does a mobile app cost to build?

A focused cross-platform MVP starts around $7,500 and ships in 4–8 weeks. Apps with custom backends, real-time features, or payment/subscription infrastructure typically land in the $15k–50k range. You'll get a fixed quote after a scoping call.

Who maintains the app after launch?

We offer ongoing engineering partnerships covering OS updates (Apple and Google break something every year), dependency upgrades, new features, and store re-submissions. You can also take it fully in-house — we document and hand over cleanly.
